Do you need a uk bank account to work in the uk?

Hi, I'm from NZ and considering applying for the YMS. If granted, how long am I able to defer it? I'm planning to do some traveling before going to the UK. Alternatively, am I able to apply for the YMS while outside AUS and NZ?

I have just finished my YMS visa and am now back in Australia. Is there any way I can continue to live in the UK with or without a visa?

Hey I was just wondering if you guys could clear up this myth. I am an Australian on the Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa. I have a job here and have recently started paying tax. Word of mouth has explained that because I'm not a UK citizen that once my visa is up I can apply for a tax rebate and any tax I have paid in the 2 years I have been working here, I get it back. True or False? Thanks

The UK border agency website states that: While you are in the UK under the youth mobility scheme, you cannot switch into any other category of the points-based system or into a visitor route. Does this simply mean that you cannot change category while you are IN the UK i.e. Would it be possible to leave the UK during the 24 months and return to Australia to apply for a tier 2 general visa (If I found an employer to be my sponsor). Or would I have to wait for the Tier 5 visa to expire before b?
